About PMC
Pakistan Montessori Council (PMC) serves as a Montessori consortium under which individuals and companies interested in Montessori training, Montessori schooling, and other Montessori-related activities mutually work for the promotion of Montessori education, advancing its widespread adoption and recognition, in Pakistan.
Note: It is important to mention that the word “COUNCIL” in Pakistan Montessori Council does not refer to its commonly assumed meaning in Pakistan i.e. “Regulatory Authority” but to its literal origins where it refers to a group of equals who sit together to seek solutions to problems or to pursue the same cause. PMC is a private venture and is not to be confused with a government body.
Pakistan Montessori Council (PMC) is sponsored and managed by the following companies, which are also referred to as PMC’s Panel of Parent Organisations (PPPO), which include;
Montessori Pakistan (MP), registered under section 32 of the Companies Ordinance, 1984 (XLVII of 1984) with the government of Pakistan, plays the role of the training division. MP has trained more than 100,000 individuals in Montessori since its establishment in 2006. Its experts have developed international standard Montessori training courses in both English and Urdu languages. The course materials include international standard training manuals with supplementary resources such as training videos, and online learning management systems. Our premium training manuals are highly illustrated, and superior in quality, design, and content. The supplementary resources including Montessori training videos, presentations, quizzes, and assignments have been integrated into our state-of-the-art Online Learning Management System (available on web & as an app) using the latest technological advancements. These courses allow the trainees to acquire competencies and Montessori skills affordably at the convenience of their homes and open sure chances of employment in thousands of Montessori schools worldwide. During the online courses, all the trainees go through practical workshops, in which they acquire hands-on experience with scientific Montessori material and activities.

Pakistan Montessori Concern, also registered under section 32 of the Companies Ordinance, 1984 (XLVII of 1984) with the government of Pakistan, proudly manages manufacturing and provision of Montessori classroom materials and resources to schools at affordable prices. Since the aim to promote Montessori education in Pakistan is incomplete without the availability of its didactic materials, the company, at the heart of its mission lies a commitment to ensuring accessibility to high-quality Montessori materials. Through rigorous quality control protocols, the company guarantees products that meet international standards in terms of durability, safety, and environmental sustainability.
In addition to its manufacturing endeavors, the company is spearheading a noteworthy initiative called PMCKIDS, which will soon be a chain of authentic elite Montessori schools in Pakistan, further solidifying the PMC’s dedication to holistic education.
Peace Education Foundation (PEF), a nonprofit organization operating under section 42 of the Companies Ordinance, 1984 (XLVII of 1984) and registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, plays a crucial role in jumpstarting Montessori education in PMC’s member schools. Initially, PEF provided each member school of the PMC with Montessori materials valued at Rs. 50,000, benefiting over 200 schools (which has now been discontinued). Although this support has ceased, PEF now sponsors the annual training of two teachers from each member school, free of charge. Additionally, PEF conducts Peace Education Programs within schools, aligning with the inherent principles of Montessori philosophy.
The other half consists of several hundreds of affiliated entities (member schools and individuals) that share PMC’s vision of promoting Montessori education in Pakistan. We refer to them as the Panel of Affiliated Individuals and Organisations (PAIO).
So PPPO and PAIO, together, constitute the biggest private consortium of Montessori-related entities in Pakistan in the private sector. It is a forum where Montessori-related businesses and individuals can come together and seek solutions to Montessori-related issues and support each other. PMC is enthusiastically seeking to expand its network by affiliating with individuals, Montessori schools, and businesses alike, in pursuit of Montessori excellence. We, the entire PMC team, are keen to enlist your support and collaboration in this journey. Together, we can contribute to the advancement of Montessori education and create a lasting impact in the field.
